My name is Sarah Helena dos Santos Farias, and I am a PhD student in History at the University of Arizona. I am originally from Brazil, where I completed my BA in History and my MA in Agribusiness at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD).
My research interests focus on environmental history, Indigenous peoples, environmental justice, and the historical relationships between societies and the environment. My current research examines the intersections of environmental racism, pesticide use, and Indigenous communities in Brazil, particularly among the Guarani and Kaiowá peoples.
