I am a PhD candidate in Middle Eastern History. My interests focus on trans-imperial cultural contacts in the early modern Mediterranean, specializing in Europeans in the Ottoman Empire. Currently, I am researching the cross-cultural connections that were fostered between representatives of England and the Ottoman Empire in the seventeenth century.
