I am a new graduate student studying a master’s in history. I have Mexican-Australian heritage and have lived in both Melbourne, Australia and Hermosillo, Mexico. Last year, I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Degree with Honours) from the University of Melbourne. I wrote an honour’s thesis – under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Walsh – about the political activism of women during the last ten years of the Porfiriato and during the Mexican Revolution. My current research interest is in twentieth century Mexican history with an emphasis on women’s history and women’s involvement in political, intellectual, and military movements. I am also a Spanish TA and currently teach two courses of Spanish 101 to undergraduate students.
