Professor Martha Few, Department of History, Spring 2016

In this research seminar, MA and PhD students will conduct research and write a paper on a topic related to modern or colonial Latin America or the US-Mexico borderlands on a topic of their choosing.  We'll do some shared readings on new research in the  field during the first month or so of the course, and participate in hands on workshops designed for advanced researchers working on Latin America.  Then we'll do all the stops needed to write a research paper: a proposal and revised proposal, a first draft and final draft.  Along the way, we'll do peer review (read and  comment on each others written work) and gain experience presenting work to others in a conference like format.  Questions?  Email Professor Few off list at mfew@email.arizona.edu or drop by office hours, Tues. 9:45 - 10:45am, Wed. 2:30 - 3:30pm, and by appointment.
