The Department of History hosts its own Commencement Brunch and Ceremony twice
each year, at the end of the spring and fall semesters. Ours is a rigorous
academic program, and our commencement celebration is meant to honor personally
each graduate's achievements.
This semester, our History Commencement event is scheduled for THURSDAY, MAY 13,
2010, at 9:30am until approximately 12:00 noon, at Inn Suites Hotel, at 475 N. Granada Street (SW corner of
6th and Granada Streets) in Tucson. Graduating History students are welcome free of
charge (with your RSVP), and all guests are charged a fee of $10.00 per person,
if paid in advance, or $12.00 per person at the door.
We begin our event with a delicious brunch, followed by our commencement
ceremony. Caps and gowns are appreciated, but not required. Each graduating
student is recognized individually and is given the opportunity to say a few
words to those in attendance. This wonderful and personal event is sure to be
a high point of your stay here at the University of Arizona!

All graduating History students are asked to complete the Graduating Student Profile Form, found on the History website or on the bulletin board outside Ms. Parker's office, in Social Sciences room 228. Please bring completed forms to Ms. Parker's office, or place them in her mailbox in Soc. Sci. room 217. The information provided on these forms is used in your personal introduction at Commencement.
