Alex Nuñez is a doctoral student originally from Chandler, Arizona. His interest lies in understanding the relationship between racial identity and sport in the United States, particularly among Mexican Americans. His professional experiences in the field have included serving as a Park Ranger with the National Park Service at the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site in Washington, DC, as well as a handful of roles in public programming with various museums, including the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Alex also worked as a Graduate Fellow with the Smithsonian’s Latino Museum Studies Program during Summer 2021.

Alex currently serves as the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Admissions for the University of Arizona Honors College.
