More Than: A Podcast, Dr. Michelle Berry and co-host Emily Waklid

Dr. Michelle Berry is hitting the airwaves! Her new podcast (with co-host Emily Wakild and producer Rux Guidi), More Than: A Podcast,  is now live.

Each episode of More Than follows a group of morethanhumans that contributed to the history of the US Mountain West (roughly the region between the Rockies and the Cascades).  The podcast will examine coyotes, crickets, and ponderosa pines as actors in history.  These wild things support, persist, and illuminate new ways of understanding the past.

Berry and Wakild both trained as environmental historians in their grad program and later on co-wrote a book teaching on environmental history, Primer for Teaching Environmental History: Ten Design Principles, published in 2018. Emily now lives in Boise, ID where she is the Endowed Chair for the Andrus Center for Public Policy.
