Congratulations to Dr. Cristina Urías-Espinoza, UA History Ph.D. 2022, on wining the 2023 Gastón García Cantú Award from the Mexican Federal Ministry of Culture through the National Institute of Historical Studies of the Revolutions of Mexico (INEHRM) for the best history doctoral dissertation on the era of Liberal Reforms and Porfiriato! 

This is the first time that INEHRM has given such an award to a dissertation completed at a foreign university.
