Lunchtime Lecture Series Presents: Dr. Cristina D. Ramírez

You’re invited to come hear Dr. Cristina Ramírez speak about the “magic box” that her family found that unlocked the mystery behind her grandmother’s final years of diligently writing down her memories of an old El Paso barrio. Dr. Ramírez’s family found a box full of 750+ pages of her grandmother’s unpublished, manuscript ready writings, which she has now translated and recovered in A Story of Stories. Her grandmother’s writings tell the history of immigrants of El Paso (1910-1950), but not from the lens of the Mexican Revolution. She will read from both her own writing and her grandmother’s writing.
