About Daniel Hernandez
I am a second year masters student studying US History. My primary area of interest is the expansion and formation of federal management of public lands and waters during the Progressive Era and Great Depression, especially in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to environmental history, I am drawn to legal history and the history of capitalism. Finally, I have a long-standing interest in public history and the exploration of how history is taught and presented.
My most recent project was on the memory and management surrounding the Tillamook Burns and 2017's Eagle Creek fire.
