Zane Rossi

I'm a Master's student specializing in U.S. history of the late 19th and early 20th century. I was born in Prescott, Arizona and lived there my whole life until coming to Tucson for college and falling in love with it. In the past I've done work on the Chinese Exclusion Act and its relationship to the developing culture of white supremacy and growing labor movement, and hope to do more work examining changes in American culture related to sexuality as the Industrial Revolution pushed the country into a modern, capitalist economy. I have also done work on historical pedagogy with Dr. Michelle Berry. This work specifically focused on consciousness-raising and engaged pedagogy in history classrooms at the secondary and post-secondary level. I am passionate about teaching history and hope to teach at the high-school or college level.
